The Bible
Both the Old and New Testament are the inspired Word of God, inerrant in their original writings, complete as the revelation of God’s will for salvation, and the supreme and final authority in all matters to which they speak.
God (The Trinity)
There is One God who is the Creator and Sustainer of all things, eternally existing in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit; they are equal in essence and nature and perfect in every divine attribute; they execute distinct and harmonious offices in the work of creation, redemption and providence.
God The Father
God is the eternal, infinite, all-powerful, all-knowing creator of heaven and earth, perfect in holiness, justice, wisdom and love. He concerns Himself mercifully and graciously in the affairs of humanity, freely giving salvation from sin and death to all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
God The Son (Jesus Christ)
Jesus Christ is the second person of the Trinity. He possesses the same attributes and is of the same essence and nature as the Father and the Spirit. He is fully God. In accordance with Scriptures, He took on flesh and blood, being conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. As God in human flesh He fulfilled the promises of the Old Testament as the Messiah, Son, Suffering Servant, etc… He lived a sinless life. He was crucified, buried and rose victoriously from the grave. His death on the cross was a substitutionary sacrifice for sinful humanity. His resurrection conquered death and now He is seated at the right hand of God and will return to earth to reign as the eternal King.
God The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son. His work includes regeneration, sanctification and preservation of believers. His ministry is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and implement Christ’s work of redeeming the lost. He also empowers the believer for godly living and service through the illumination of God’s written Word and giving of spiritual gifts.
Humanity
God created humanity (male and female), in the image of God and in a state of innocence. In the fall, humans rebelled against God. As a result of the fall, all people are sinners by choice and by nature and are therefore spiritually dead. We believe that the Holy Spirit does the work of regenerating sinners based on the finished work of Jesus Christ.
We believe that God created human beings in his image as male and female. We believe that God designed marriage to unite a man and a woman for life. Therefore, marriage is exclusive and permanent, involving one biological male and one biological female.
Salvation
Salvation is God’s gift by Grace through faith in the finished work of Christ Jesus. Men and women receive this gift through faith, apart from human works, ritual or merit. We believe that all the redeemed, once saved, are kept by God’s power and therefore are secure in Christ forever. When Christians sin after being saved, we have a loss of fellowship with God, not a loss of salvation. Fellowship with God is restored when we repent by confessing and forsaking sin.
The Church
The Church is the body of which the Lord Jesus Christ is the head and is composed of all persons who possess saving faith in Jesus Christ and have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit. This body expresses itself in local churches composed of believers in Jesus Christ. The ordinances of the local church are believers’ baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper (Communion). We believe in the priesthood of all believers; that all believers have the privilege and right of direct access to God through Jesus Christ. We believe that each local church is autonomous and free from interference by any ecclesiastical or political authority. We believe that church leadership should be non-clerical, and made up of a plurality of Biblically qualified men. We also believe all men and women are directly responsible to God in matters of faith and life.
Last Things
We believe that Jesus Christ will personally come again in power and glory to receive his Church to Himself and to establish His kingdom. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the saved and lost, and that Jesus Christ will judge both the living and the dead. We believe that the saved will live with Jesus Christ eternally in a new heaven and new earth while the lost will be condemned to eternal punishment in hell.
