At New Heights Chapel we believe that in the essentials we have unity, in the non-essentials we Have Freedom, but in All things we show love.

About God

God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has existed eternally as three Persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God. God is Love and God is Holy. Jesus became a man, lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose bodily from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return to Earth again someday to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. The Holy Spirit is present in the world to make people aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He lives within every Christian from the moment of salvation providing power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance to do what is right.

About the Bible

The Bible is God’s Word to us. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is without error and is the supreme and final source of truth and authority for Christian faith and conduct.

About Human Beings

People are made in the image of God to be like Him in character and are the supreme object of God’s creation. People are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called “sin” resulting in separation from God. Habitual sins in thought, word, and deed cause many problems in life.

About Salvation

Salvation is God’s gift to us – but we must accept it. In order to enter God’s heaven we must be free of any sin. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. By trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness, turning from our self-ruled life and to Jesus in faith, we are saved from sin’s penalty. The true believer is secure in that salvation forever and cannot “lose” it.

About Eternity

People were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin (hell), or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation (heaven). Heaven and hell are real places of eternal existence.

About Satan

Satan is a real created being, a fallen angel, who tempted man to join him in rebelling against God. He is the open and declared enemy of God and man, and shall be eternally punished in the lake of fire.

About the Church

We believe that the universal church is composed of all born-again persons and it is the body and espoused bride of Christ. The local church is autonomous and appoints its own members to the offices of Elder and Deacon. The twofold purpose of the church is to lead people to Christ and mature them in the faith.

About our Outreach

The Great Commission applies to every believer. We are to be witnesses of what God has done in our lives by obeying His command to share the Good News of salvation personally to our friends and neighbors, and by supporting missionaries and Christian workers.
